We bring you a story of an Indian girl, whose life was changed by a Slovak donor:

„My name is Bhandari, and thanks to the support of my Slovak donor, I could become a teacher. I come from Prabhat Nagar district, in the Indian city of Honnavar and my family is destitute. I have a sister. My father Shivanand works as a musician, but we are on the breadline. Mother Kalyani takes care of a household. Due to high poverty, our family was on the brink of survival. That was when our dad met Sister Maria Goretti from Bala Pragathi Kendra Services. She engaged me in the Children´s donation project. I had been receiving help from Slovakia for 12 years from my Slovak donor – Miss. Danka. Thanks to her, I didn´t only get a basic education, but I was also able to continue my studies. I also successfully finished high school and later a bachelor´s degree. Today I work as a teacher at an English high school, and I can pass on my education. My heartfelt thanks for this chance to get a proper education, thanks to which I found a job. Now I can take care of myself and my loved ones.“
