Heartwarming greetings and words of thanks from children of Ukraine

author: charita | date: 13. septembra 2022 | category: Ukraine

This year again, our donors can be excited for letters and photos of their adopted children. Younger children draw a picture and write a few words, older students write more about their daily life.

War in Ukraine influenced a lot all the children. Mostly, their drawings are in yellow and blue. You won’t find a letter without these phrases: „Слава Україні (Slava Ukrayiny – Glory to Ukraine), Ми за мир (My za myr – We are for peace), Ви наші герої (Vy naši heroyi – You are our heroes).” We would like to share a few letters with You from Christina (10 years old), Antona (9 years old) and Lyudmila (12 years old) from Ternopil.

Christina Kvatiura

Christina is ten years old, and she enrolled in our Children’s Donation Project a year ago. Her mother passed away and her father who is on an invalidity pension does not have enough financial resources to support and secure Christina and two of her siblings. Thanks to her donor’s support, she could start her 4th year of school and continue studying literature, her favourite subject.  Her drawing has a big title in colours or the Ukrainian flag: „Ви наші герої (Vy naši heroyi – You are our heroes).” In the picture, we can see an ambulance, a car, a lady and a written sign that says: “Thanks to our volunteers.”

Anton Boyko

Anton is a little younger than Christina, he is nine years old. At school, he excels at math and the Ukrainian language. In his free time, he likes to draw. Anton‘s dream job is to become a police officer. In his letter, he writes a few words of gratitude. The translation is: Thank You for the warm of Yours heart that brings smiles to children’s faces. “He drew a Ukrainian soldier with words: „Слава Україні, Героям Слава. (Slava Ukrayiny – Glory to Ukraina, Heroyam Slava – Glory to heroes).”

Lyudmila Mydlovets

Lyudmila is the oldest of these three children. She is twelve years old. She likes to write that is the reason why she wrote a long letter to her Slovakian donor. In her letter, she writes: “Please, accept my word of gratitude and wishes of health, peace, abundance, and joy. It is wonderful that there are so many good, emphatic and observant people in this world. May our God protect you from all the evil and inconveniences. To each one of you, I wish you happiness and luck. Thank you, Lyudmila Andriivna Mydlovets.”

We, workers from the Children’s Donation project, would like to add Christine, Anton, and Lyudmila. Thanks to your kindness, selflessness, and support, we can help children to achieve their dreams even during this war conflict.
