“Small projects” of Adopcia na diaľku® (Children’s Donation Project) were created to help kids to deal with their education, poverty, and the difficulties of everyday life.
Through the Small Project, we provided funds for the purchase and installation of water filtration devices for children in Syria. These children, mostly orphans and half-orphans, live with their relatives or in foster families. Thanks to the contribution, we were able to purchase 41 filtration devices for 240 people.
We implemented the project in collaboration with the humanitarian organization Shingala Azad, which has long been dedicated to providing aid to people affected by war and conflicts, with a special focus on helping children. The director of this organization, Šárka Petrová, emphasizes the importance of drinking water: „Without access to drinking water, it is difficult to ensure a healthy environment for children to grow and develop. Thanks to this project, not only have the health conditions of the children improved, but also their overall quality of life.„
This project is crucial for those it has helped. Access to drinking water means fewer diseases, better hygienic conditions, and an improved quality of life. Šárka Petrová adds: „On behalf of our organization, as well as on behalf of all those to whom we have been able to provide easy access to drinking water, I would like to sincerely thank not only you but also all the donors, who have helped us improved the living conditions of children and their families.“
