Children’s drawings from Ukraine: On the way to the safe place

author: charita | date: 4. apríla 2022 | category: Ukraine

We want to share a few pictures with you that we received from Katka Pajerská during her visit in Bratislava. Katka asked the children to draw how they perceived the attacks on Ukraine by Russian soldiers. Pictures were drawn by children who are part of our Children’s Donation Project from Transcarpathia and Mukachave. In this region, as one of the few in Ukraine, there is relative peace, but citizens are expecting attacks on military targets because there is an airport located in Uzhhorod. Drawings with descriptions can be found down below:

This is how children see the escape from the war in Kyjev
Children also perceive the help from neighbouring countries, and one of them drew it on a map. The crying heart is presenting regions under the attacks.
Children and their families are praying for the end of the war in Ukraine. Children believe that praying will help their fathers in this war to not be seen by Russian solderies.
The picture shows a family at a train station saying goodbye to a father who enlisted in the war.
